One supporter took his life in his own hands as he joined the queues to see Neymar unveiled as a Barcelona player on Monday.

Thousands of Barca supporters were in attendance at the Camp Nou as the 21-year-old Brazil international completed his move to the La Liga giants from Santos.

But some of those supporters could have been forgiven for thinking they had landed in the VIP lounge at the stadium when 'Neymar' appeared to have lined up alongside them.

The fans bounced the clone version of the mercurial South American while standing in the queue, so we can only hope they realised they were dealing with a doppelganger.

Imagine the reasons for damage on the insurance form Barcelona would have had to give if the real Neymar had been injured.

The real Neymar, of course, took the acclaim of the Barcelona supporters as he was unveiled by the club on Monday.

The Brazilian travelled to Spain after playing in the 2-2 draw against England to celebrate the opening of the revamped Maracana Stadium in Rio de Janeiro on Sunday.

Neymar will now line up alongside the prodigious talent already at Barcelona, including Lionel Messi, Andres Iniesta and Xavi Hernandez.

Neymar already has a lookalike on the pitch, in the shape of Santos teammate Neilton, who has been attracting the attention of Manchester United and Chelsea, according to a report from The Mirror earlier this season.

But we are pretty sure it wasn't the 19-year-old who features in the video clip above. At least we think it wasn't...
