Neymar will be the perfect complement to Lionel Messi in Barcelona

After Barcelona was taken systematically down by Bayern Munich in the semi-finals of the Champions League, it was clear that the club needs a boost. Not a major overhaul, but a fresh face able to revitalize the squad next season.

Neymar is that player.

The Brazilian was a product very coveted before Barcelona will sign a five year contract. It was exactly the type of declaration move champions of La Liga which I needed to do to provide some support for Lionel Messi.

Bayern Munich went on to win the Champions League title after knocking out Barcelona. For the boat, the unbalanced defeat (7-0 aggregate) was an example of what can happen when Messi isn't in tip-top shape or deal with injuries.

The Argentine international began the first stage but could do anywhere near their impact usually. The club 4 - 0 with a persistent hamstring problem they hinder you, Barcelona decided not to risk it in the second stage and again it was closed out.

Barca midfielder is tremendous, directed by Andrés Iniesta and Xavi, who has shown few signs of slowing down as he approaches his thirty. Even if Messi is not about giving the final touch in his pinpoint passes, the attack has not been nearly as efficient.

It is where Neymar will come into play. I will provide the club with the second forward need to have certain pressure of Messi and make the attack more consistent as a whole. And he is already looking forward to the opportunity, by Goal.com:

In recent years, opponents knew that at least half the battle contained Messi. If you could keep out annotation sheet, they had a good chance to get a result. Neymar added to the mix will make the defensive task much more difficult.

The superstar was established as a Santos and the Brazilian team with world class talent. His ability to dribble around defenders, with great pace and elite finishing skills, make it a nightmare to defend.

But if we take into account that proponents will still be forced to worry first about Messi, Neymar is made even more dangerous as he prepares for his first season at the Camp Nou.

It works in reverse, too. Messi should continue to be the focal point of the attack, but behind the lines of opposition it will not be able to put a big emphasis on slowing him down. This will lead to more space to work his magic, and every soccer fan knows about the impressive games that you can do in space.

Make no mistake, there will probably be a period of transition early next season as Neymar and Messi build chemistry. They are two players capable of excellent single player, but the road to success for Barcelona is teamwork between the two front stars.

Once the right balance, the attack of the boat will be virtually unstoppable at times. With a midfield controlled possession and two finalists of elite, a lot of subsequent lines will be at their mercy.
